Phantom Meowscles
Jack's Story: Phantom was a slow burn for me. It wasn't until one night, when my partner, Cassidy, started to tease about how often I'd used Phantom during matches. I started to talk about how much I was invested in his character design, and then slowly realizing I liked him a lot more than other fictional character's I've crushed on.
A trickster cat has a few tricks up his sleeves (paws?) for Jack. It all happened one night after attending another typical party royale. Most people knew of Phantom's tricks and kept a safe distance. Phantom took the title of the mischief feline with pride, not letting responsibilities tie him down from doing what he wants.
That was until he spots Jack at one of these parties. At first, the bright blue gradient hair stuck out to Phantom compared to the rest of the neon lights in the background. While messing around with Jack through teasing, Phantom's interest in Jack only grew and the young man began to ignore his antics. No reactions to his tricks, it was starting to get to Phantom's ego.
As time went on, Phantom grew to be more warm around Jack, in turn letting Jack open up about himself and getting to know his side of the story. Growing a soft spot for the courier, Phantom decides to stick with Jack in duo missions, their relationship growing overtime into a strong bond together.
People called him Reckless Jack, mostly due to his reckless nature in the battle grounds. A part time courier and a full time loner, Jack was used to the partner of his squadmates leaving him behind. This lead him to being more comfortable doing solo missions, accepting solitude as his only peace.
One faithful day, while attending a party royale to ease up, he notices a black purple feline following him the entire night. He played around with his antics at first, getting tired after the same tricks were pulled over three times. He choose to ignore the feline after a while, which only made him cling on to him even more.
It startled Jack, not used to this amount of attention, let alone someone who is this persestent to be around Jack even after the party royale was over. Over time, as Phantom spent more time with him outside of the party, Jack started to see a warmer side to the trickester. A side not a lot of people can say they know of Phantom.
With time and a lot of bonding over the battlefield, Jack was able to learn to open up about his past squadmates, even a long lost love that left him behind in the middle of a sandstorm invasion. Opening up to Phantom helped Jack process his grief, and eventually he learned to be more open and comfortable around the purple feline, developing feeling he didn't think he'd ever experience.
New Moon
It took time for the two to start being open with each other instead of throwing teases at each other back and forth. Many folks mistakeningly took them as a couple already before it was offical. It started to get more flirtatious before either of them realized it, till one day, Phantom finally blurts out his true feelings to Jack in the middle of a mission.
At first, Jack was conflicted. His loner lifestyle was falling apart as he realized he grew more attached to the feline, how their trickester persona was a shell hiding his sweeter side. After a long pause, Jack confesses his mutual feelings as well. The amount of time Phantom spins Jack around in a tight embrace after he hears the confirmation was a memory Jack could never forget.
